Due to the advanced content of this training, Full EMDR Training by an EMDRIA approved provider is required of participants.

After completing this training:

• Participants will be able to describe how attachment develops.
• Participants will be able to explain attachment styles on a continuum.
• Participants will be able to explain attachment at each developmental stage.
• Participants will be to describe the relationship between early attachment and Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) Theory.
• Participants will be able to identify at least 3 clinical implications for the use of EMDR Therapy with children and adolescents presenting with inadequate attachment.
• Participants will be able to describe at least 3 clinical implications for an EMDR Therapy Intake with adults presenting with inadequate attachment.
• Participants will be able to describe at least 3 clinical implications for Phases 1-8 of EMDR Therapy with adults presenting with inadequate attachment.

This advanced training includes lecture and practicum components led by 2 EMDRIA Approved Consultants. The training will focus on increasing understanding of the relationship between early attachment and Adaptive Information Processing Theory. The training will discuss adaptations and advanced techniques for 8 Phases of EMDR Therapy for all ages. Full EMDR Training is required.

After registration, you will receive a payment confirmation email that will provide you with instructions to access to your Trauma Specialists Training Institute (TSTI) library where you'll find the course Zoom meeting link and course resources. Please note, course resources will not be available until the day of training.

Yes, you will need to attend the entire training. Your attendance will be tracked via Zoom. Please keep your webcam on during all live training sessions. This is the equivalent of “being in the room” for an in-person training and is required for continuing education hours.

Trauma Specialists Training Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7268. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Trauma Specialists Training Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. 
5.5 Clock Hours.

Trauma Specialists Training Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Trauma Specialists Training Institute maintains responsibility for this program and its content. 5.5 CE Credit

Trauma Specialists Training Institute is an EC Provider (#20014) and this program (#20014-26) is approved for 5.5 EMDRIA Credits. Eligibility for EMDRIA Credits is restricted to those who have completed an EMDRIA-Approved Basic EMDR Training.

Trauma Specialists Training Institute is seeking additional continuing education approval for this course. This course is currently under review.

Trauma Specialists Training Institute, LLC maintains responsibility for all aspects of this program and its content.  

You will receive a certificate of completion after completion of the course, the post course assessment and course evaluation via email. 

There is no recording of the live event available to participants in lieu of attendance and all participant information is confidential.

An Attachment Informed Approach to EMDR Therapy speakers are:

• Rachel Harrison, LCPC, NCC, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, EMDRIA Approved Trainer, EMDRIA Approved Basic Trainer - Rachel has trained hundreds of clinicians in EMDR therapy. She first learned EMDR in 2011 and it changed her practice so much for the better that she went on to become a consultant and trainer. Rachel believes that every therapist needs to know how to provide excellent EMDR therapy, because there is nothing else in the therapy world that can do what EMDR does! Rachel is the Founder and CEO of Trauma Specialists Training Institute and Trauma Specialists of Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania. She is passionate about treating trauma.
• Jamie Sedgwick, LCPC, NCC, EMDRIA Certified Therapist, EMDRIA EMDR Approved Consultant, EMDRIA Approved Basic Trainer. Jamie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor and has worked in the mental health field for 10 years. She has experience with a wide range of issues including PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and behavioral issues. She has interest in working with teens (age 15+) and adults. She specializes in Borderline Personality Disorder, attachment and complex PTSD with a passion for helping individuals learn and incorporate healthy skills to create a life worth living. She is trained in DBT and Neurofeedback and is EMDR certified.

If you have to cancel your training, you will be able to use any funds put toward this training to join a future training with Trauma Specialists Training Institute.  We do not offer refunds for training registrations.
